Sapporo Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill

You can see the cityscape of Sapporo from the top of the hill.An observation deck built in 1959 in a corner of the former Hokkaido Agricultural Experiment Station. This is a famous place where a bronze statue of Dr. Clark, a person connected to Sapporo, is erected. From the top of the hill, you can see the city of Sapporo and the Ishikari Plain, and you can also see sheep grazing in  the surrounding meadows.

Shiroi Koibito Park

A theme park for famous Hokkaido sweets where you can enjoy chocolate with all five senses.The sweets theme park “Ishiya”, famous for “Shiroi Koibito”, was renovated in July 2019. Various participatory facilities and experience menus have been created under the theme of “a chocolate entertainment facility where you can see, learn, taste, and experience.” At the Premium Factory Course, you can enjoy the history and trivia of chocolate through projection mapping and more.

Sapporo snow festival

The theme is “A world plaza that brings pure white dreams”. A winter tradition held in early February every year. At the Odori venue, snow sculptures featuring famous buildings from around the world, historical Japanese buildings, anime characters, and more will appear. In the largest cases, snow art can be made up to 15 meters in height. If you have children, it is best to go to the hands-on Tsudome venue. From the 100m tube slide to the ice slide and snow raft, everyone from children to adults can have fun and interact with the snow. The Susukino venue, lined with ice sculptures illuminated by the city’s neon lights, is also popular.
