The east area includes Hokkaido, the Kanto region, the Tohoku region, and the Hokuriku region.

“The Hokuriku region” is the name that refers to the area in central Honshu (Chubu region) facing the Sea of Japan.
The Hokuriku region generally includes four prefectures: Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui.
