Shirakawago in summer

It feels cool even in summer, and you can enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the countryside.

Shirakawa-go in winter

Gifu Prefecture is a region of heavy snowfall in winter. It snows a lot. The construction method known as Gassho-zukuri was devised to protect houses from snowfall.

The houses standing quietly in the snow look fantastic.

The Gassho-style House is a symbol of the World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go village, and because of the construction material, it is not easy to preserve.

In this village, the fire prevention equipment management and fire prevention patrols are organized and carried out by the villagers themselves three times a day to remind everyone of fire prevention.
